Frequently asked questions

This delicious Japanese seasoning is mostly used on plain steamed rice to make furikake rice, or atop udon noodles. However, it can also be used to enhance popcorn and other snacks, or even to coat fried chicken or prawns.

Yes and no! Generally, it is a seasoning to flavour rice with roasted sesame, citrus and umami flavours but there is also a sansho furikake which has a bit of a kick to it!

We have organic furikake available which is prepared by the master sesame roasters, Wadaman in Japan
