Spicy Wasabi and Avocado Hummus

Dip into bold flavours with this Spicy Wasabi and Avocado Hummus, a creamy blend of fresh wasabi heat and smooth avocado deliciousness.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tbsp fresh wasabi, grated (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp tahini (sesame paste)
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional toppings: Drizzle of olive oil, sesame seeds, chopped cilantro (coriander)

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, combine the avocado, chickpeas, grated wasabi, tahini, lime juice, garlic, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.
  2. With the food processor running, drizzle in the olive oil until the hummus reaches your desired consistency. Adjust salt and wasabi to taste.
  3. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with your choice of toppings.
  4. Serve with pita chips, vegetable sticks, or as a spread for wraps and sandwiches.
