Like your roast potatoes? Then love these - we've given the humble roast tatti a Japanese kick with some of the famous togarashi 7 spice seasoning!
Ingredients:
- 900g roasting potatoes, halved or quartered
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Togarashi seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Method:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C.
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry with a kitchen towel. If the potatoes are larger, you can halve or quarter them for quicker roasting.
- Place the potatoes in a large mixing bowl.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the potatoes, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, mix together the Togarashi seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the potatoes and toss until they are evenly coated with the spices.
- Arrange the seasoned potatoes in a single layer on a baking tray
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. You can turn them halfway through the cooking time to ensure they brown evenly.
- Once the potatoes are done, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a serving dish.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Enjoy alongside your favourite roast!
