A deep, fragrant aroma with a unique flavour that lends itself to savoury and sweet dishes with bold flavours. Often combined with yoghurt, ice cream and cream desserts black sesame paste can also be added to cakes and pastries to deliver a rich flavour and wonderfully original black colour.

Sesame oil naturally separates from the paste, upon opening jars mix well with a spoon, rub larger packs until contents mix.

Creating smooth, richly flavoured sesame paste is a craft Wadaman take as seriously as every other aspect of their production.  Meticulously cleaned and expertly roasted sesame seeds are milled at low speed and low temperature using a ceramic millstone. The seeds pass through the mill four of five times, until the correct oil content is achieved, creating a texture that is smooth and creamy with a rich flavour and intense aroma. 

Available in 80g & 1kg.

Store in a cool, dark place. Do not decant or refrigerate.

Great taste, however wrong packaging

Great taste and flavour, however only if you empty the contents into another container to mix and stir thoroughly. Reduced one star for this reason as a better container would be a jar/bucket so you can mix thoroughly before use.

Thank you for your review and really pleased you are enjoying the taste and flavour of the sesame paste :) We will also feed your comments about the packaging back to the manufacturer. In the meantime, as the pack empties, it should be easier to massage and mix before squeezing out.
