This special condiment made from sautéed onions is very popular in Japan and is a wonderful accompaniment to grilled meat or as an excellent marinade for steak and tuna. It even goes hand in hand with dishes like scrambled eggs.
The onions in this sauce are blended to create a smooth base that is both savoury and sweet, with a concentrated deep golden brown colour.
Sautéed onion sauce is the best and quick way to bring out the flavour of sweet onions and is perfect served with grilled meats and finished with fresh herbs, cutting out the fuss and saving you on prep time.

Store in a cool, dry place and refrigerate once opened.
