Oname plum miso is a unique miso, made with whole barley grains, fermented soybeans and plum, which gives it a fresh taste and a subtle sweet tang.

High-quality soybeans undergo a meticulous fermentation process, and the addition of ripe plums then add a delightful umami twist to the classic miso flavour.

Available in 1kg bags, this miso is exceptional value and can be stored in the freezer for up to one year until needed.

Plum miso can be used as a seasoning for meat, fish, and vegetables, as well as a marinade for grilled or roasted dishes. It can also be added to sauces, dressings, and soups to enhance their flavour.

A great way to use this miso is to store it in the freezer in ice cube trays, then just pop out a cube of delicious flavour to add to any stew or soup for a hidden umami flavour boost.

Keep refrigerated, once open consume within 30 days or freeze for up to one year.

Once open, cover the miso to prevent oxidation from exposure to the air.

Nice and tangy

I don't know how I missed this, but I didn't see it until it showed up in the sale. I like flavoured miso and this one was no exception. It definitely perks up rice, tofu, fish, and vegetables, but it's pretty good in place of relish in a sandwich as well. The minty element in the shiso flavour is more pronounced than in other products I've had, which you might or might not prefer, but it's very tasty and I'd buy it again.
