Harvested from the wild, nutrient-rich waters off Hokkaido, this premium wakame seaweed is known for its thick, elastic texture and naturally rich flavour. Unlike more delicate varieties, Hokkaido wakame is shaped by the region’s rough, cold seas, giving it a distinctive bite and a strong umami flavour,  perfect for enhancing everything from broths to salads.

Wakame is not only delicious but also nutritionally dense, offering a natural source of Potassium, Carotene (vitamin A) and Alginic acid – a dietary fibre that supports digestion.

Once rehydrated, this wakame expands and takes on a silky yet robust texture that holds up well in both hot and cold dishes.

Perfect for:

  • Adding depth to dashi stocks
  • Stirring into miso soups
  • Tossing through seaweed salads
  • Enhancing noodle bowls or cold dishes

How to prepare:

  • Boil the dried wakame in water for around 10 minutes. Once tender, cool under running water, cut into bite-sized pieces, and incorporate into your chosen dish.

Store in a cool, dark, dry place, away from direct sunlight
