It's fresh citrus season again and we have some utterly mouthwatering fruit in stock!
You are probably already familiar with some of them, like Yuzu and Sudachi, but this year we have four NEW varieties for you to try; all are bursting with the freshest, zestiest flavours from Japan.
The season is short so we recommend ordering while you can.
Brand new for 2023, tiger lemons are much less acidic than regular lemons. Peeling back their striped skin reveals a delicate pink flesh that is sweet and floral. Said to be the most aromatic citrus, this really is a treat worth trying while the citrus season lasts.
Getting their name from twisted Winter branches that resemble a Dragon mid-flight, they have a soft, peachy skin which conceals a wonderfully sour flesh. Also known as Bitter Orange, the peel is perfect for zesting & they make wonderful preserves and sauces!
The Queen of Citrus returns once again; with the juiciest blend of lemon, mandarin and grapefruit flavours, fresh yuzu is a zesty delight that is certainly not to be missed.
Compared to a peppery lime, sudachi is bursting with herbaceous flavour. Though traditionally enjoyed with mushrooms, they are great for both savoury and sweet dishes.
Popping with flavour, finger limes are possibly the most fun citrus fruit of them all. Filled with tiny pearls of sharp juice, they make an incredible garnish for food and drinks alike.
Funky looking and 100% edible, including the peel, buddha's hands are highly prized in Japan. The peel is fragrant and often used to infuse citrus flavours while the insides are relatively sweet.
