Aosa seaweed soy sauce is a unique Japanese condiment that combines the rich, umami flavours of traditional soy sauce with the fresh, marine notes of Aosa seaweed (Monostroma nitidum).

Aosa seaweed (Monostroma nitidum) is a type of green seaweed known for its delicate texture and mild, slightly sweet taste. It is harvested from the clean, coastal waters off of Japan's south central Pacific coast.

The soy sauce provides a rich umami base, which is further enhanced by the natural umami present in the Aosa seaweed. The flavour profile includes salty, sweet and umami notes, the Aosa seaweed adds a fresh, oceanic touch that balances out the saltiness and deep flavours of the soy sauce, making the overall flavour profile more complex and nuanced.
